Cleo giggled as she took the wineglass filled with âbloodâ from the girl standing to her left in the circle. It had been a great idea to end their Halloween with a blood ritual. She was so glad she had let Angie talk her into coming out tonight.
The chanting grew louder, as she raised the glass to her lips. With only the bonfire for light, she couldnât really see what kind of drink they had poured. She sipped, not sure if sheâd like it, then choked on the taste of blood.
âWhat theâŠâ Cleo coughed out the words. âThatâs real blood.â
Angie, on her right, smiled, eyes glowing red. âHappy Halloween.â
âBlood Ritualâ kicks off this weekâs collection of Halloween stories. I know the week technically started on Sunday, but since Halloween falls on this upcoming Sunday, I jumped to Tuesday for the start.
I hope you enjoy the spooky stories I have lined up for you. Leave a comment and let me know either way!
Please also share Fiction in 50 with your friends (or enemies, whatever works for you).
