Denny couldn’t believe he had done it. Not buying the shoes, though that was odd for him as well, but that he had actually used Elvis’s line. Scarlet with embarrassment, he rubbed his burning neck, laughing as his friends sang the entirety of, “Don’t Step on My Blue Suede Shoes.”
This one’s short, but really, what else is there to say? I don’t remember what prompted me to create this image, but the story was right there. It just took me a few months to see it!
Also, I know that’s not actually the title of the song, but it seemed to fit, so I’m relying on Denny, part of the younger generation, not knowing the correct one. 😉
Whether you’re an Elvis fan or not, it’s unlikely you don’t get the reference. Just in case, though, Here’s a link to “Blue Suede Shoes” on YouTube.
How often life mimics art. I do some simple task and suddenly a song or a picture or a poem or a story is running through my mind. Makes me smile with happy memories 🥰
I do love blue shoes 😍. That's amazing the knew the whole song!
