Courage
Marcus eyed the rope, searching for courage.
Courage means choosing life. Did he believe that? Did he want to?
Marcus hesitated. The phone rang. “Hello.”
“I got your message. I’m on my way. Wait for me. Please.”
Courage. “I’ll try, Maddy.”
Marcus set the rope down, reaching tentatively toward life.
I had once read that the courage that matters the most can be the courage that helps you make it from one moment to the next. And sadly, during those times, it is often too hard for us to reach out and so a simple message or a memory is our anchor to life. So much emotion, Dascha, in so few words. 💞
