Enid couldn’t stop scrolling Twitter. It had blown up with the news of the nuclear power plant meltdown in Illinois. Her sister lived near there, but the land lines were so jammed she couldn’t get through. She knew she should have replaced her cellphone.
Finally realizing she could message Ellen on Facebook from her computer, she opened her page only to find Ellen had beaten her to it.
We’re safe. Arriving with Bob and the kids on the six-p.m. flight. Please pick us up.
Enid grabbed her car keys. If she left right now, she’d just make it on time.

I have pretty much abandoned Twitter and Facebook. They are too detrimental to my state of mind. I don’t need a daily dose of something that either depresses, annoys, or infuriates me. But I have spent too much time on TikTok watching music and comedy. It’s addicting. 🤣 So I do that sparingly.
Not me. However, I am married to someone who does this so kept up to date whole reading Eclectic Ink instead. Much more enjoyable 🥰
