The boy cornered the twitching bunny, sure now of obtaining his own rabbit’s foot. He lunged for the rabbit, tripping on a suddenly untied shoelace.
As he crashed headlong into hard brick, the bunny hopped away laughing. Everybunny knows, the only place for a lucky foot is on the rabbit.
It’s my favorite time of the week: Friday Fix time! This week, for Friday the 13th, the prompt asked for stories about luck, or the lack thereof. My daughter immediately suggested I write a story about a rabbit outsmarting a human (given that rabbit feet are supposed to be lucky). I hope you like my response to the double prompt!
