At the cliff’s edge, she stared out over water lit only by the weak light of what little moonshine filtered through the cloud cover. She flung herself from the precipice, falling into the darkness. Down. She plummeted toward the certain death awaiting on the rocks below, opening her wings at the last possible second, then soared into the night sky, reveling in the blackness that hid her from prying eyes that would judge her inhuman. Eyes that would name her shifter and condemn her to death. She flew from this place, searching still for a safe place to call home.
The idea for this 100-word story came to me while I was drifting off to sleep. I wrote it by hand, something I’m doing a little more often these days. Between writing the story and transcribing it on the computer, I started seeing references to Midjourney everywhere I turned. I started thinking about trying it out and today’s image is my first attempt to create original art via the artificial intelligence interface.
With practice creating prompts, I’m sure the images will improve, but I’m pretty satisfied with what I created using the prompt words “woman on cliff under cloud-filtered moon. I got the program to create a few extra variations before finding an image I thought would work with this story. Thoughts?
I think you nailed it personally! No I’m going to have to check it out. Does it only work on the computer or can I use my iPad?
And her heart soared 🧚♀️💖
