Nature shrouded in mistNature shrouded in mistNature shrouded in mist
Created on Midjourney

Shrouded

Fog shrouded river
Details fade; what lies within
Mystery defined

Watercolor

Watercolor mist
Mountains; trees; hints of glory
Smudges on canvas

Unseen

Beyond the temple
Unseen beauty lies hidden
‘Til sun sets it free

These images are the result of some experimentation I did on Midjourney a while back. They suggested poetic themes to me, so I decided to oblige them and write some haiku.

Eclectic Ink is free to read, but you can support my writing and art for only $5/month.

I had initially planned to just include the gallery you see at the top. But I didn’t like the way Substack cuts them off. It takes away the impact. At full length, these images are (to me at least) breathtaking. Stubby versions just don’t have the same effect.

Misty images make me think of fantasy worlds and send my imagination soaring. There’s magic hidden behind the fog. Anything could be true of what lies within. (Hmm, this is beginning to sound a bit like Schrodinger’s cat, but with mist.)

Does mist affect you this way? Or is it just a nuisance to drive through? Leave a comment!

I enjoy the colours of the mist. A secret world we so rarely glimpse, a mystery hidden, a vision imagined. Lovely haiku 💕
