My apologies to anyone who has already read these stories. But as I’ve been going through and unlocking the archives, I’ve come across so many that I really love.
I understand that most readers won’t run back to the archives to hunt through hundreds of stories. So I thought today I’d highlight a few of my favorites and provide direct links to them. I hope you love these as much as I do.
Please leave a comment here to let me know if you want to see more of these. I think there’s value in this. (Even paid subscribers might like revisiting older stories.) Let me know if you agree.
“Peanut Butter Paradise” was, in part, inspired by my own love of good peanut butter ice cream. I’ve never found any as good as that made in house by a dessert café in London Ontario that, to my immense disappointment, closed down. Theirs was called peanut butter overload, and it was!
Looking back at “The Right Look,” I am again struck by my inability to find a stock photo that suited the story. I think I’m going to have to create one of my own.
It’s always bothered me that people are stereotyped and either pigeonholed or excluded because they either do or don’t fit a particular image. This story was written to address that issue.
“Wolf at My Door” is probably one of my favorite stories that I’ve ever written. I have a strong affinity for wolves (though I would never want to meet one in the wild). It’s a story about love, undying friendship, and transitions.
Please comment either here or on the story itself. Does this story speak to you in any way?
Again, please let me know if you want more of these. I will have teed another one or two up before I hear back from you, but the possibility of more is always on the table if you enjoy these little “roundups.”
Please do.
