This will be the last of the unlocked stories I’ll tee up before I read your responses to the first unlocked trio of stories. I do like that it gives readers a chance to see some of the best archive stories without having to wade through hundreds of stories.
“A Strand of Silver” was written in response to a prompt from my dear friend Laura. I love the feel and “fabric” of this story. I hope you will too.
“Hope” embodies its title. It’s a fantasy story about tenacity in the face of near-inevitable doom, with a spark of hope.
I wrote “Hate at First Sight” in response to a prompt to create a story which proceeds from hate to love. I didn’t want to go with that trope, at least not entirely. You’ll have to read the story itself to see what I did with it.
I published this series of three sets of unlocked stories a month apart. I felt that this way paid subscribers who had already read them wouldn’t be subjected to them in rapid succession.
I hope everyone enjoyed the stories and that paid subscribers chose to revisit at least some of them. Don’t forget to leave a comment!
