Every now and again, when Zirka gazed up into the night sky, she would begin to glow. Just little bits at first, but if she didn’t catch it and stop herself, her entire body would turn into a brilliant, miniature star.
She had only meant to visit Earth briefly. She had wanted to explore mortal existence. But the star had fallen in love with a human man, and now, here she was, twenty years married to him, looking out on the galaxy in which a single star no longer inhabited its position.
One day, Zirka would return to her place among the stars, but for now, for the lifespan of her husband, she would remain here on Earth. In the life of a star, it was but the blink of an eye, but what a glorious blink!
Denys joined Zirka on the terrace, handing her a glass of champagne. “Happy anniversary, darling.”
“Happy anniversary,” Zirka replied, laying her head on his shoulder.
“I was watching you watch the stars,” Denys said. “Sometimes, it seems like you glow a bit at night.” He wrapped an arm around her and kissed the top of her head. “I love that about you. To me, you are stardust.”
Zirka smiled, enjoying her secret. If only Denys knew!

The image for this story was one of the first I created on Midjourney. You can see in the image that the woman does have tiny bits of stardust showing. The prompt I used for this (in part) was “you are stardust.”
I am now also selling my AI work on Redbubble. The image from today’s story is featured on a number of items there. You can support my work by checking out my shop and picking up an item or two.
There are other colors available. You can also see lots of other products with this design by scrolling down a bit.

Thanks so much for being part of my community and part of my creative journey.
Nice story and image. I wonder though, does she age like a human while pretending to be one? 🙂
A great love story!
