Kerry Anne loved dressing up her mice and holding tea parties for them. Of course, she filled their tiny cups and saucers with water and, instead of biscuits, fed them seeds. They really were quite tame and submitted to her play without complaint.
She only wished such fantasies were possible in the real world. Alice in Wonderland was her favorite story, especially the part with the Mad Hatter’s tea party. Which made her favorite character the Dormouse.
When it was almost time for bed, Kerry Anne undressed her mice and returned them to their cages before cleaning up. As she lay down to sleep, visions of a world in which she sat down to tea with them filled her head.
As soon as her breathing settled into the quiet rhythm of sleep, the smallest mouse flipped the latch on the cage and all three mice slipped out into the room, then passed through a portal to their own world, dreaming of a reality in which they could take their beloved Kerry Anne with them.
I love the images I’ve been creating on Midjourney. You only get to see a few in my stories. If you want to have access to all of them, you can follow me on Instagram, which is always free!
I always loved the Dormouse in Alice in Wonderland. Here are a few images I created a while back. The first is supposed to be the Dormouse as a playing card, the second, Alice stepping through the mirror in Through the Looking Glass.
This was a great 2 way fantasy. Magical child, magical mice.
That was a charming little tale! I loved Alice in Wonderland too, especially the one with Johnny Depp!
