I want to start by thanking all my subscribers for being here and my paid subscribers for your financial support. I have paused paid subscriptions. Ultimately I will cancel them, but apparently in order to cancel them outright, I have to have enough money in my Stripe account (the payment portal used by Substack) to refund any unused portion to subscribers. Currently I do not and have to figure out how that will work. In the meantime, I don't want anyone to be charged.
My physical health is not improving and my ability to juggle daily demands is quite limited. I've come to the conclusion over the weeks that I have been away from work demands that I need to continue to rest and take on only what I feel comfortable with on any given day. That may mean a few posts a week, one, or none. I can't in good conscience expect anyone to pay for this.
I won't shut down Eclectic Ink and hope you'll continue to welcome my stories and poetry when they find their way into your mailbox.
Thanks for being part of my writing journey. I appreciate every one of you more than you know.

Other options might be…
1) Let your readers decide. Maybe they want to support you?
2) Lower the price?
3) Partner with other writers who can help you keep the content flowing.
4) Republish articles from other Substackers who you enjoy.
Sorry to hear this Dascha. Thinking of you and happy you are caring for you.
