I received four prompts today for this image. Thank you to all who entrusted me with your words. Tomorrow will be the last chance to have your prompt included in this collection of stories. I hope you’ll participate!
Pest Control
Cait wondered what she might discover as she set out to explore her new master’s lands.

Royal Guard
A surplus prince, banished for owning too much ambition, Hazik had come to cherish the isolation of his northern habitat. He tracked the time by creating an ice sculpture for every year survived.
Hazik’s growing army stood sentry against non-existent intruders, even as the snow glare slowly took his eyesight.
Twitter prompt from @JamesDoom: glare, isolation, sculpture
Broken Earth
Why, Nicola wondered for probably the thousandth time, do humans have to destroy everything we touch? Shaking her head at the folly of the question, she rubbed her cold hands together as she gazed upon the vast expanse of unbroken white snow for the last time. Tomorrow, the bulldozers arrived.
Twitter prompt from @JimLatham: why, cold white
Snow Day
A new day dawned, its light revealing a fairy landscape painted white after the previous day’s storm.
Mari settled into her rocking chair by the big bay window, Tawni purring on her lap, a mug of coffee warming her hands. Today was a perfect day for resting her bones indoors.
Facebook prompt from Laura Gannon: storm, light, new

These stories were really good. Thanks for a fun week. I enjoyed reading each one. I read each story, then I looked at the word prompts. Nicely done, Dascha.
These are wonderful. You have an amazing gift and I so enjoy playing along. So here are another three words... can, will, rain.
