Jett and Ainsley had forgotten their blanket in the car. Not that Jett had noticed that it added any more comfort than the grass on which they sat gazing up at the stars.

Ainsley pointed to a particularly bright star. “That one,” she said, her face lit up in wonder. “I bet there’s another couple just like us looking up at the night sky and wondering about life on other planets.

Jett, mesmerized by how beautiful Ainsley looked, took a moment to answer. “Maybe,” he said, pulling a small box from his pocket, “one of them is about to ask the other to marry them.”

Ainsley’s head pivoted from the stars just in time to see Jett open the ring box. Eyes shining with tears, she said, “Maybe the other is about to say yes with all their heart.”

I created this story with the prompt words comfort, car, and star. I had actually made the image a while ago and when the prompt words came up, I knew exactly what I would do with them!
