Bill missed his girls like crazy. Ever since he and Charlene had split, he had only seen them every other weekend. He felt like they were growing up without him.
He had had to leave. Hadn’t he? She had cheated on him. Multiple times, with multiple guys. But life without the girls was unbearable.
Bill held the slip of paper with the marriage counselor’s phone number in his hand. Charlene had said she’d do better if he would take her back. She even promised to go with him to counseling. Picturing his daughters, he picked up the phone and dialed.
This 100-word BMAC story was written around the thought of difficult choices. I would have a hard time reconciling with a partner who cheated on me. Some of my reticence around this comes from my father having been a serial cheater. My mom eventually left him. Could you make Bill’s choice?
I hope the characters make it.
So many in life hard decisions 🙏. This touches my heart.
