I mentioned in a thread a few weeks back that Jason McBride of Weirdo Poetry and I were collaborating on a story. It’s one you’ve already seen, but you’ve never seen it like this!
Jason’s comic of the story blew me away. This is my first collaboration with another creator. It won’t be my last with Jason. Without further ado, here’s “When Death Comes Calling: The Comic.”
Seeing the panels of this story gives me chills every time I read it. Please share so as many readers as possible will be able to enjoy Jason’s work! You can see more of it (and read his wonderful haiku) by subscribing to his newsletter.
Not convinced? Here’s a link to his latest poetry comic, in which readers get to choose their doom in “The Interview”!
Oh, and please leave a comment! I’d love to hear what you think of our collaboration.
Wow! That was chilling. The illustration made it more so.
Thanks for sharing.
This was my first time illustrating someone else's story! "When Death Comes Calling" is one of my favorite stories you've written. Working on the collab taught me a lot about story structure and pacing in short fiction. I hope this comic brings more people to read your incredible stories!
