Delayed two years by the pandemic, Lindsay and Ben stood before their friends and family to say, “I do.”
They could have married sooner, had they been willing to hold a virtual wedding. But sharing their day with their loved ones in the beautiful Canmore mountains was worth the wait.
This fifty-word story was written to celebrate not only the wedding I’m attending in Canmore, Alberta, today, but also the fact that COVID failed to keep me from attending (though it tried its best).

As an aside, I wrote a story for the bride and groom about how their beloved mountains are a metaphor for their love. I made a metal print of the story in their wedding colors, bordered by their flowers. I really hope they like it!
