Wise and wonderful mother you had. Strong too to raise 6 kids on her own. My mothers left lots of pain behind for all of her six children. I intend to do the opposite. Memories strengthen us, especially happy ones. I am having problems leaving a comment for some of the stuff I read. How do I comment if I am the first person who does?

Thanks, Annelise. My mom made up for a largely absentee and erratic father. I'm glad you are making good choices for your own family. I'm not sure what the problem is with replies. I have the same problem with other people's substack posts. I'm also not sure how to fix it. Let me Google it and email you what I find out.
