I had to do that with writing when I was trying to churn out content on Medium. The joy had been sucked out of it. I had to take a step back and find that joy again.
This resonated with me. I didn't stop playing completely, but it hard to get motivated when all your gigs vanish. But it is good to play for pure enjoyment. Once pick up your instrument, you remember the joy of playing.
