That was a great story! Close to my heart ❤️ However, if we are finally on the road by Thanksgiving-and I truly pray we are- they are on their own this year.

We have been working so hard to get our house sold and Dave retired so we can set out on our new adventure, so we are going as soon as humanly possible!

We just found a Rachel Ray recipe for Thanksgiving Turkey and Stuffing Loaves, for us two this year. Ground turkey. And, herb mashed potatoes using Boursin cheese. Glad the empty nesters in your story will have the flock back home!

I love this twist on the kids off on their own adventures. It's cool for the parents to take off. Hope you manage to leave ASAP!

What a heartwarming story! Thanks for sharing, Dascha. We tend to have a small Thanksgiving dinner - usually ten people at most.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! 🍁

My mom used to end up with twenty. I've not hosted that many, but still lots. My daughter-in-law hosts now, but with my current health I'm not up to the pandemonium. Rob is making turkey dinner for the three of us at home this year. We just finished our usual holiday breakfast of blueberry pancakes!
