What a lovely reminder that sometimes the simplest change can have a profound impact. If I'm not careful, I can give in to worry or fear but I've found just going for a walk can turn my perspective completely around. I look at clouds and laugh at children's antics and stop to smell the flowers. Simply something simple. And bubbles... well, who doesn't love bubbles!
Lovely story! It’s funny how life works. I just finished my walk and had the idea that it would be fun to buy a typewriter and come setup a free haiku table at the park. Then I read this story and it made me want to do the free haiku thing even more!
Unfortunately physical proximity doesn't mean connection. Your comment put me in mind of something that happened yesterday. I was in a beach town (Whiterock) with my daughter. I was waiting outside with my dog while she was in the public washrooms and there was a man who also seemed to be waiting. He didn't look particularly friendly and I almost didn't say anything, but I pushed myself to say hello.
He brightened up and we had a lovely conversation about Abbotsford, where he had recently moved to and I had moved from. I think we too often believe we know how we will be received by another when their countenance doesn't really reflect who they are, but maybe just something that's stressing them. Reaching out can make all the difference!

We try so hard to complicate life, but it's in the moments we let go of complication that we find our way!

Dooooo iiiiìt!
Beautiful. Sometimes the simplest things in life can bring the most joy.
Honestly, I think that maximum joy always comes from simple things!
True!!
Bubbles! A truly joyful solution! Loneliness is huge in our overcrowded world, doesn't make sense.

That is so true, I tend to not reach out and am frequently surprised when I do. Way to go, Dascha!
