I'm hooked. Looking forward to the next story. I want to know what happened. Why did two of three siblings turn dark? What happened? Great writing, left me wanting more ❤️
Don't you love it when the story carries you along and introduces characters, plot devices, changes in setting... I like to say it's a magical process, although I know that writing allows us to release so many wonderful ideas from our unconscious...giving them life in our stories! Looking forward to part two.
Ooh, I’m intrigued, Dascha! The premise of this story really gripped me. I’m excited to find out more about the brothers’ relationship and overall predicament.
I like the idea of serializing short stories on Substack. As a reader, it’s easier to come back to a three-part story opposed to an entire novel. I also tried serializing a short story recently and it fared much better than I thought it would.

Thank you, Laura! Only a few days until the conclusion now!
Why does the visiting brother have 6 fingers. Is that a spell his captive gave him?
Good eye, but no. That's AI's difficulty with rendering hands. I keep hoping it will get better but so far it continues to struggle.

That's definitely magical!
Can't wait to read the second one next week!
Let the countdown commence.
Yes, I'm in!!! More please 😁
I think you'll like where the story goes!
