In the darkness, I see her, even with my eyes closed. Especially with my eyes closed.
Time cannot erase the face of my first, truest friend. Azadi, I named her, to represent the freedom I craved.

This story came from a Laura prompt: darkness, eyes, time. I’m not sure why it took such a dark turn.
I did have a cat named Azadi. He was a beautiful cream Persian. though he did not help me through past trauma, he was a joy in my life.

I am a dog person. I had a traumatic cat episode as a child that hasn't left me yet, lol. But I feed the ones that come into my yard.
I love starting my days reading your stories! It's great how you cover so many genres and moods.
