Ice
He couldn’t do it anymore. Millennia had passed and he still hadn’t found her.
Hathor, Egyptian goddess of love, had courted him, teased him. She had even taken him to her bed, only to discard him, leaving him broken.
No more. Ice claimed his body as it had his heart.
“Ice” holds a special place in my heart. It was the first dribble I ever wrote. I submitted it to Justin Deming for his Medium publication, The Friday Fix. Alas, The Fix is no more, but you can still read Justin’s work on Micro 2 Go.
