What a story of hope. One year. One step at a time. A goal. Beautiful. However, gardening? For me, if is a never-ending and very confusing challenge. I plant any type of plant in my garden, I water it, fertilize it, prune it and it dies, even under the watchful guidance of my neighbour who grows everything beautifully!! Then some plant I don't remember planting, often not even knowing what it is, thrives! However, I am very good with house plants for some strange reason. 🤔
My neighbour has this amazing green thumb. She picked up a blueberry plant for each of us and watched me plant it and gave me complete care instructions. She also checks up on me. She lives 2 doors down in the complex. Her plant is about 6 feet high and was a mass of berries this year. Mine, only about 50 feet away in the same patch of garden that runs along the back of property, is about a foot high and down to 3 branches and 6 leaves. She thinks I have a serious plant problem. Her and our other gardening neighbour stand at my garden and have discussions. It's fascinating. 🤪
Some people can't figure plants out. I'm pretty good with them. But my daughter got a cat a year ago who has now methodically murdered my house plants one by one over the last year. I only have three left. Soon I'll only be left with the outdoor plants, which I'll only be able to enjoy in the warmer months.

Sometimes benign neglect is what plants most need. Are you overwatering?

😆 Try talking to it?
My dad used to say that he had a brown thumb--everything plant he touched died.
