As you, my biggest supporters, know, I’ve decreased my publishing schedule. This means that currently my free subscribers are only hearing from me once a week. I feel, to some extent, that I’m letting them down.
The vast majority of you are friends and family. I think you pay for your subscriptions to support me, and only marginally, if at all, for the extra stories. (Correct me if I’m wrong here.) I do feel that if the exclusivity of stories is an important factor for you that it’s important for me to maintain this.
However, if you’re paying primarily to support my writing, how would you feel about my making All Eclectic Ink stories (including the archive) freely available to all readers, with the option to subscribe if someone wants to financially support me?
I’ll keep the poll open for three days to give you all a chance to think.
Thank you for being here. There is no wrong answer, only what feels right for you!
I've also just subscribed to Fraser Valley Current, a local news publication covering Langley to Hope, because I like to support local. If this decision helps you support your writing, I'm all for it.
Same as what Connie said. I'm happy to support you a bit and think your work can be available to everyone.
I don't care about exclusivity!
