No matter how Darla tried to arrange them, the packages remained too unwieldy to manage on her own. Not and carry her ice-cream cone as well.
She was going to have to bribe Carlton with his favorite tea to help her to her car. And to cap it off, he’d make her publicly affirm that tea was better than coffee, all the while smiling at her with his glistening white teeth.
Nope. It wasn’t worth it. The office gossips would never let her live it down. She dropped the cone in the garbage, picked up her packages, and headed home.
I love a challenge. This story had to be written using eight randomly generated words. The first word had to be in the first sentence. I added the requirement that the story come in at exactly 100 words.
The words: arrange, affirm, bribe, unwieldy, glistening, ice-cream, tea, and cap.
Well done! Many such pieces have locutions standing out cloddishly and it's manifest that it was written with a prefabricated panoply of terms. Can't tell at all here 😊
Nice job you did with it!
