I’m currently reading Jeff Foster’s Falling in Love with Where You Are. I loved this short piece and thought I’d share it.
We never rehearsed thisWe are a mess
We tremble and perspireWe step on each other’s toes
Sometimes we go out of tuneAnd forget our lines
But at least this is realAt least we are not half-alive
Buried under the weight of some imageWe never believed in anyway
I will always take this imperfect danceOver no dance at all
