Wrong Story
Cinderella held the ruby slipper in her hand as she looked sideways at the frog. “Ew, I don’t want to kiss you. My story is supposed to bring me a handsome prince.”
“Yeah, well I’m pretty sure that slipper is supposed to be glass, not ruby,” the frog answered. “Hurry up and kiss me so we can go hawk that baby on eBay and blow this messed-up fairytale.”
This quick micro came about as I thought about fractured fairytales. It’s a very short mashup of Cinderella, The Frog Prince, and The Wizard of Oz (in case it wasn’t obvious).
This was fun. I think we all sometimes wonder if we’re in the wrong story
