I think it is a smart move. The old name was limiting. The new one is wide open.
I also changed mine, from Monday Morning Mark (which I turned into a section) to Mark Starlin Writes! Which I thought better represented what the newsletter was. I had no issues with links.
If I remember correctly, I didn’t have to do anything except change the newsletter name and select the “change the subdomain’’ checkbox in the settings and put in the new name. Which they allow once. They basically set up a forward for the old links. But if I did it again, all my links would break. So be sure before you do it. 🤣
Congratulations on your ~two years on Substack, Dascha! "Eclectic Ink" will always be welcome in my Inbox. "Write On!" 😎
Thank you, my friend!

That's great, Mark! I remember the change. Did you have to redo stories you had teed up for publication or were they changed automatically?

Thanks. I'm aware this only works once! What I didn't know was if it worked for stories that haven't actually published yet. :-)
It's definitely an important evolution and it's great you've decided to embrace it. I'm looking forward to receiving more stories from Eclectic Ink!
Thank you, Brian! I'm excited about the change.
Congratulations on the new name, Dascha! (And for publishing two years on Substack!) I always look forward to reading your work.
Thank you, Justin! I'm hoping to have the artwork for the anniversary. It would be great to rebrand then.
