I love this story and Kiana. Her grandmother? Not so much! But Kiana won’t be stopped by a silly piece of paper. You can get a GED online at a library now - at least you can in Denver!
She did graduate, though. So she will receive that one last recipe. I didn't see her grandmother as a villain. She thought not having a high school education would hold Kiana back. She was wrong, but not ill-intentioned.
