I agree with your comments. What would he think? I may have tunnel vision, being prejudiced by my own thoughts and beliefs, but I think we've gotten so much wrong. We could have done so many things differently... like not coveting tiger skins or elephant tusks or placing personal comfort and beauty ahead of caring for the planet and the animals. He might have kept everything secret. Hung out in cafes, played his violin more. But he would have had his group of secret scientists - maybe exploring the world of making better food!

It's an interesting proposition for sure, though in his particular case, he did see the creation of atomic weapons.
Maybe it was only a bad dream he was having.
